Ok so i have decided to purchase either a Murcielago, or a diablo kit. Sure my car will look great, but i need it to perform and sound as good as it looks. The Donor chassis will be from the Fiero (isnt it about time we found a more modern donor to use?) so what options do i have. I want it to sound as close to the real deal as possible, without being too "muscle car" sounding, but it must be quick as well, obviously im not looking to hit 60 in 3.8 and top out at 205mph like the real thing, but aslong as i can tear up a Boxter at the lights, i dont mind. Any suggestions are welcome, so please let me know your thoughts. Also what transmission would best suit your engine choice?

G

My personal preference would be to use a BMW v12 from the 8 series and a Porsche G50 gearbox. With the right tuning and exhaust you should be able to replicate the sound and most of the performance of the Lamborghinis.
Speaking of which, has anyone heard of a Lamborghini Gallardo replica being worked on??

Hope this helps

Hey Dave, what aussie state are you in?

I've been looking for info to register a kit car in australia but have found nothing.
I know Victoria is the hardest to get things legal but i'm in QLD.Go to Top of Page

G'day Steve,
I'm in the NT at the moment. What kind of car are you working on?? Your best bet is to talk to a couple of the Kit car Manufacturers like PRB (they make Lotus 7 like cars) or DRB (they make Cobras) and I'm sure they'll be able to point you in the right direction!!

Hoope this helps

Thanks for that dave.
I'm still a student now but i am seriously thinking about a diablo or similar replica.
I'll try to use a BMW V12 or a Dodge Viper V10
And i'm still thinking about which transaxle to use...so many possibilites!
Thanks again guys,
Steve.
