Seems like a scam, too much fine print such as a minimum number of tickets must be sold or its a 50/50 drawing. Also, pull up the GT-40, may take up to nine months to get one. Also, they claim they are negotiating to get a saleen S-7. To do that legally in the State of Ohio, the dealeship would have to donate it, or the charity would have to buy it. This all just seems kinda fishy.

look at the monetary exchange
the viper, 3500 tickets at a 100 a ticket
is 350,000 dollars for an 80k car... what?

"been around for 20 years but just incorporated in may of 2005"?
and "pay it forward" is not a 20 year old colloquialism (sp? its early) its relatively modern.

the link to their "charity leads to a bogus website. The actual link for the Pay It Forward Foundation is here, and nowhere does it mention Topraffle.com.

www.payitforwardfoundation.org" target="_blank">http://www.payitforwardfoundation.org

Smells like a scam to me.. amazing how this site will still accept advertising dollars from them too. In every case a raffle must have a licence and be registered with the gaming or lottery commission in the state or province in wich the "Raffle" is being held. FRAUD all over it

First.. create the scam site

Domain Name: TOPRAFFLE.COM
Registrar: DOMAINREGISTRY.COM, INC.
Whois Server: nswhois.domainregistry.com
Referral URL: http://www.domainregistry.com
Name Server: DNS2.MIDPHASE.COM
Name Server: DNS1.MIDPHASE.COM
Status: ACTIVE
Updated Date: 17-jul-2005
Creation Date: 03-mar-2005
Expiration Date: 03-mar-2006

Then build a bogus "Foundation" site to try and back it up...

Domain Name: PIFORWARD.COM
Registrar: DOMAINREGISTRY.COM, INC.
Whois Server: nswhois.domainregistry.com
Referral URL: http://www.domainregistry.com
Name Server: NS2.APOCMEDIA.COM
Name Server: NS1.APOCMEDIA.COM
Status: ACTIVE
Updated Date: 04-aug-2005
Creation Date: 10-mar-2005
Expiration Date: 10-mar-2006

Keep in mind they've "Been Around" for 20 years.

Had to read this one a few times. I'm lost. What is the minimum number of tickets? And how much money has to be raised for a charity to be effective? If the amount of money raised does not leave much after the prize is awarded is it really worth holding the raffle? There are 2 different was to look at this. The foundation is just starting and probably doesn't have much to work with causing the amount of tickets to be so high. Or it could be a scam. I suggest we sit back & watch because if it is a scam it won't last a year. After that...I'm in!Go to Top of Page
