There are 2 "new builds" listed for sale on ebay, both diablo roadsters, 1 offered by lambobuild which he says is not a kit, but an EXACT REPLICA, blue V-6. The other offered by foxiewood (seen the name before) silver, but priced awfully low for the car and what is has. Does anyone have any LEGITIMATE information on either the cars themselves or the listors. WANT REPUTABLE BUILDER INFO if anyone knows of these 2 cars please. |

If you want a good Diablo builder. I would say check out Mike at www.kitcar.cc I have seen his work and it is good. At least go take a look at his site.

More than looks, i want SOMEONE I CAN TRUST, which seems to be something i obviously am not good at judging. thanks for the info, i will check him out. do you know anything about the turnkeys listed on ebay? |

dont shop on ebay for a car. i told you a very good builder for the car your looking for is world class exotics. trust me the only way to not get burned is to be in personnal contact with the builder, basically if you have the cash to drop on the car whats a couple more bucks for a plane ticket so you at least know where to go looking for you investment.like kitcar guy said these type of deals give the buis a bad name,but most builders are out for the buck rather than the passion of building or driving theses cars, and most know every angle to make the odds in there favor.

Its not always the "buck", Johnny, some of us do not have the luxury of having the ability to fly to see the car. the reason i use ebay is because ebay will guarantee the purchase. Unfortunately, contracts are done outside of ebay without ebays knowledge, so they refuse to cover those type of deals, but when things are done correctly, ebay will cover the purchase in case of fraud amongst other things, and for those of us with certain medical issues, flying to view the car is not always an option therefore, we must rely on the people in the business to be honest and fair. In all the years i have conducted business, i have never been faced with these types of issues before. |

the only thing i can tell you is this buisness is right above the ****o buisness. no offence to the handfull of reputable companies out there, but this buisness is kinda like a stripper. there mostly whores and they will only talk to you when you have money. just be careful on your next attempt.

Trust me, i WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING again, without obtaining as much info as possible from forums, you see, i did indeed research the builder, but you'd be surprised at how easy it is for the con artists to get away with this. I completed all the necessary checks, but if consumers do not report fraud to the authorities, nothing will ever be done. its a shame to be involved with an industry of "whores", and not be able to purchase good quality products from good quality people. I give up, i will purchase something else. |

unfortunatly most of the people that have these cars build them. dont give up though there are builders out there that build on the passion and integrity of there name and reputation such as robert, auto concepts. paul world class exotics, and others that have a reputation to protect. forget the research theres no way to find out if someone want to steal. just some companies do back what they build.

I had the privledge of meeting a very special man at exotic illusions. he is kind, knowledgable and reputable. i know they exist, its a shame i had to go though hell to find him. |

Ahh well I could have told you about Demetrios. But I though he did Countach builds only. Thats all I have ever seen of his. I met him a few years ago and he is a top notch guy.
I reccommended Mike Vetter at Kitcar.cc becuase his work is very good. and has been featured in kitcar mags several times for his 355 and Diablo builds. I have spoke to him at daytona and went and checked out his old shop at one point.

Like i said, i would buy something else, the greek indeed does only countach. i wrote to the guy you suggested, we will see. i think i'll stay with demetrios, you are correct, he is top notch. thanks for your input |

Your right, mike has some beautiful cars, however, i would like to stay away from the fiero chassis, and also want V-8 at least. he does beautiful work! |

Oh ...Mike does not use Fiero Chassis anymore. He is using Porcshe Boxsters now. And he is the Only one I know of doing it.

I was Up until last year. I moved to Massachusetts. So I have not seen his current shop or the Boxster Based Lambos. I will be there in 2 Weeks and I will make every attemt to get over there and take a look at what he has and try to take some photos.

i believe he and paul from world class exotics have worked together on some cars because paul uses the boxster as well.
