Hmmm I know I posted here about turbovisions. I posted on there forum a few times regarding purchasing a skyline. Ben was not helpful in anyway and after sending 3 emails and finally telling him I would purchase a Murc replica instead he gave me his number and said call me to do business.

It took several weeks to get any kind of response from him. There was always a excuse.

Alright "Speedster 11", here it comes.

as a skyline enthusiast,(R33 to be exact) U.S. customs has put a red flag on having this vehicle imported here to the states temporarily for the general public. (How long is "temporarily"? I guess we'll have to leave it to those f*ckers to decide so that the U.S. based car manufactures don't feel so damn threatened by this super technologicly advanced beast. ...oh yeah, you bet your a$$ there's alot of politics involved. and that's a whole other story.)

However! if you are a business owner, there is hope!
YES! you can have this vehicle legally brought here under your company name as a promotional tool which could be used at trade shows and related events. You can also obtain a two year permit which will allow you to transport the vehicle legaly from point A to B U.S. on streets.
All these areas are very gray and have not yet been set in concrete. Therefore, if you get pulled over driving this marvel of automobile engineering by a player hating d*ck head cop you can simply state what ever you wish as long as it is business related.
What ever you do, just DON'T say you're out f'n around & show boating. I don't care if it's 2am and you're piss drunk coming home from the club or street races, simply reply I'm transporting the vehicle to a shop where the detailers waiting for me because we have a last minute photo shoot at 6am. (it seems to work for me just fine...)
So you say you're not a business owner? get yourself a DBA at your local court house and state you're operating a web based business from your home.... BAM! I love that part!

As for the reDICulous high prices that these crooked mother-f*ckers charge, Here's the deal on that.
From someone who personally flyes to Japan three times a year on auto related business, I have found that the company " GT Net " is a great source for Legitamately buying any exotic Japanese import. That's of course after you find yourself a good translator. They are sort of a used car dealer which can provide for you a complete list of their inventory and can also give you an in depth history report on each car. Thier dealerships are one of the largest placed through out all of Japan that specificly caters to the tuner market. They also have strong ties with one of the greatest producers of performance parts, C-West. Therefore, you might even be able to order the complete car with a c-west kit if you wish.

I have produced a video which documents and covers some of the above related information and concerns people might have on the bonus section of a DVD called STRIPDOWN VIDEO MAGAZINE to clarify the misleading bullsh*t that such above named companies claim.

What I was so shocked to discover is how extremly low priced the cars are. Cars such as the Silvia S15 spec R (@14K) , Skyline R34 Vspec II nurburg, and the Honda Integra DC2 Type R (@15k) are priceless to me but don't have to be if you research it through carefully.

EXAMPLE: Motor-"something or other" will sell you an R34 for 90K+.
and their response will be,"It's because we've taken the time to legalize it for you and have all the contacts already established.etc.,etc.,etc.,"
F*ck that!
GT Net price for R34 GTR : 35K-40K. That's right! ...and figure another 4k just to import it with a proper agency & broker. and god for bid the car has been in a colision because your price has now just droped even more. :)

Here's a little tid bit you might not know about, "MX" (I'll use these initials) have wrongfully sold cars in the past to the wrong people and have even sold , what we would consider SALAVGED titled skylines to close personal friends of mine without fair warning.
(nice stereo up grade Jack-a$$es... ...it's an inside thing)
Also, with-out getting even more personal, it has been stated several times that the owner himself has a negative history in his mother land!

All of this is FACT! and as a part time reporter, I feel it is my obligation to share these with you.

and to the companies wich falsly claim, beware the truth is out there.(even on import DVDs)
And to hell with all your "well we have to change the windshield to make it D.O.T. approved" and "we have to replace/adjust your headlights" or "we gotta relocate your fuel cell" and my personal favorite "we gotta REINFORCE your door frame".
all this for an extra 15K! well F*ck U!

care to ad to this, simply email me or post a response.... thanx

Screw a Skyline its just not worth the money unless its under 20grand. With all the money you spend all modifiying it to make it fast you could have a much better sports car like a used lamborghini Diablo 6.0 VT or a Dodge Viper GTS, the new Corvette Z06.

why are repilcas so expensive?!Go to Top of Page
