Patriot was Adrian Corbett's one-off after doing the VW powered Countach car in the 80's. I have always considered the Riot to be a close comparison to the Piontek it its available at www.thunderranch.com or atleast it was in the past. The Piontek never made it to production.

Yeah I know all about the riot.would have bought one till a heard it was on baywatch...lol And yeah is a close match. Well I have the email address and I could email the designer of the pointek and see what info he will give up.

And I always like the style of the patriot. Any info on whereabouts of any of them...or if they could still be produced?

I just got a email From Dave Pointek .And it is as follows....

finished last year that I started in 1997! Its just like the one in the website. I was going to put a 1300 Hyabusa in it but decided to stick with the 1100 and get it done. I never sold any kits because of the complexity and I didn't think most builders would finish it to the level that I wanted them to be (almost showcar). I could put a kit together for you but it would not be cheap. It would be a 1300 based car. There are turbo kits available that make 300hp! Not bad in an 1100# car. I have attached a few new pictures.

Yea it does look similar. The riot is a little larger dimention wise. But close. I would consider that option but my main concern is how are the rear wheels being driven by the motorcycle engine

The Patriot was built by Adrian Corbett in his shop in Lompoc, California, He designed and built the molds with the help of a couple workers and friends. He built the Patriot on a Pontiac Fiero Chassis, a New Covette LT-1 Engine was installed, he also put newer suspension, brakes and too many other things to list. This car was awesome! I used to have a video of the car, from his marketing package. I doo have a couple pictures of it.

After the Patriot, he designed and built the Riot. he built this car for use on a VW Chassis, hoping for many oders and the resurgence on the VW based kit car.

Adrian had worked on Vandenberg AFB, he helped build Space Launch Complex 7, it was supposed to be used for the East coast launch of the Space Shuttle, the complex got put on hold and scrapped 68 days before its completetion, because of the Challenger accident.

Adrian also built a VW based Countach, this was his first kit car, he later sold the molds.

Adrian helped me build my first Fiero based Lamborghini countach kit car. he's a hell of a craftsman, so was Demitrious and the Filipino dude who worked with them (can't remember his name)

If anyone knows where or how I can contact Adrain, please post or e-mail. I was a friend of his and I lost touch with him after I got stationed overseas, That man is one smart dude...

Thanks
