Hello....I'm looking for sunroofs for my Sterlings. Due to the center brace/channel on the roof, I need to use a split sunroof..as in two little ones. They need to be no more than 9" by 22". Any ideas? Thanks, Mac. Tuff-Gun Finishes. The Name Says It All. Mac's Shootin' Irons www.shootiniron.com |

Check Ebay under sunroofs and do a search with 'his and hers' or 'split'. Usually there is one or two that show up, most often in one frame, but you can cut the frame in half to use the two sides. However, many of these sunroofs are too long for the Sterling roofline, so be sure to ask overall dimensions. Why not cut through the center support and mount a one piece? As long as you don't cut too close to the side windows (3 inches minimum), and fiberglass the cut roof panels back into one unit (the roof is two pieces - an outer and inner shell), you should have no problems with structural integrity to the roof. Anything else, let me know!Rick http://sterling.completeweb.net

Hi Rick....I'm planning on using that center tunnel for the hardware for an electric lock release. What I may end up doing is cutting the top section out for a full size sunroof but leaving the tunnel in place under it. I would dress the edges and top so it looks good. By the way, I loaded a section on my Sterlings up to my company web site. There's a link to them right on the front page. New photo's are going up regularly. Also, I e-mailed you a couple of weeks ago with questions about joining your Sterling Owners Association. Take care, Mac. http://www.shootiniron.com/
