Ok, Mr.Skyline768hp. $2,000 plus for insurance? if you're paying that, you're a moron. $200 a race? that's idiotic. and 300 to 768 hp in one year? You can bolt on that much in a weekend. Your Skyline's probably as fast as my go cart. You've probably never worked for anything in your life if your parents bought you a car. Heck my little sisters Red Flyer Wagon will bring you to shame in a race.Stop trying to pretend to be something you aren't, Jordan

nah just an ES... it was my first car and when shopping for one i test drove a blacck TT and it scared the hell out of me... plus being 16 the insurance would of been too much... i want to get $5000 it has a rebuilt tranny ($1300), new starter, alternator, wheels, tires, computer ($800), water pump, batt, paint.. and a few other things im sure im forgetting... im also getting the paint touched up again befor i sell it (side mirrors are faded a little)asking $5000, spent probly $4800 in parts and labor over the past 2 years...(have a lot of receipts) i baught it from a collector who had 2 shelby cobra replicas. a old camaro z28, SS, porsche boxster and a few hot rods.... probly put it in autotrader over the 4th, will have pics soon Matt '96 Jaguar XJ6(burgundy) '93 Dodge Stealth ES '83 Jaguar XJ6(hunter) '80 Mercedes-Benz 300CD '77 MG B soon to be mine 00-01 S2000 AUG-NOV(ok ok maybe not till jan)

matt, i feel your pain,i just sold my 300zx for 10,000$.i put a total of 30,000 plus the 17,000 i paid for the car 2 years ago. i even tried to advertise it on this website for a trade of a tube chassis or a damaged porsche boxster to use as a doner for my lambo project.unfortunataly or fortuatly depending on how you look at it i believe that whole fast and the furious craze is wearring off.i had just enough to buy my chassis and body for my lamborghini roadster project.i hope to be able to save enough this year to complete her by next july.i have given my friend the web address to look at the site to see if he is interested in your car,but i believe he only buys the turbo models he has 4 going on now.well good luck dude.

hey guys, going of topic for a bit does anyone know of any company that has a good f*****i 360 kit out there my wife just graduated from pharmacy school and she wants one. i cant justify paying 180,000 for a real one so i told her i might be able to make her one.she loves the picture she saw in one of my mags of the imola racing 360 modena.she worked hard 6 years to get her degree but the price is to high for what i can build for much less.sorry to go off topic, but this topic seems to draw alot of attention.or maybe i should tell her to talk to the skyline boys and get the hook up on the nissans.haha just kidding i will never own another one of those cars.at least my wife makes money.

Ha! Mr. Skyline768hp if you pay $2,000 plus for insurance, you're a true moron. Racing for $200 is idiotic. And worst of all, your parents bought you a car??? You must not have worked for anything you own. Even your "Skyline". I bet my go cart can go faster than your skyline, even my little sisters Red Flyer Wagon could leave you in the dust. i know ur wife wouldnt like this.. but you could get a 360 challenge race car for like $80,000, its not street legal... doesnt have leather....cd player... or really anything cept one seat.. but its a Furrari and faster then a stock one...also johnny thanks for the comment, yea its been in my garage about as much as its been in the shop... i actually ran into a guy who has his stealth fixed by the same guy... hes had the car since new.. gone through 3 trannies 2 engines and all the 'cheaper' parts, good luck with the roadster, be sure to post pics! i had a lot of plans for it when i first got it but never had the money now that i have/had the money.. hadnt put anything in it cept to keep it running... if i wasnt going to school id keep it and build a GTO replica that iv been putting off for the past 3 years...but i am going and now need a land rover... and what do u mean she wants a 360 and not a convertable... jeesh thats the only way to go :-D Matt '96 Jaguar XJ6(burgundy) '93 Dodge Stealth ES '83 Jaguar XJ6(hunter) '80 Mercedes-Benz 300CD '77 MG B soon to be mine 00-01 S2000 AUG-NOV(ok ok maybe not till jan) |

hey matt, if it were for me i would definatly go that direction.but she cant even drine a 330 ci without backing it into something or running over curbs.it would kill me to have her buy a car like that and destroy it or herself. i was thinking of getting a 360 body and dropping it onto a porsche boxster at least i can fix that.i will post some pics as soon as i complete the rolling chassis.

do they even make a 360 hardtop replica yet? iv only seen spyders... i like the boxster doner better then the mr2... at least u get a luxury interior, the mr2's looks rather cheap in my eyes...as for ur situation sounds like my mom and dad, when she drove her first new mercedes in to the side of a pizza hut (thought it was in R and not D) he said no more and baught her an old deisel like my 300cd... thats a tank! OK been away for a while but I couldn't resist on this one. Firstly I'm happy with the fact that you guys in the good old US of A pay alot more for Skylines than we do in Australia. Sucked in!!! (our R33 GTR's go for about AUD$35000) heheOK seriously, the Skyline GT-R is a heavely detuned race car. I have seen R32's with just some basic mods (only about AUD$5-6000 worth)do 11 sec quarter miles. The key is to remove all the restrictions, such as the exhaust, airfilter, ECU, timing etc and wind up the boost. A fairer comparison between these cars you guys have listed, would be a lightly modded GT-R (such as above) because those cars don't have the engine restrictions that a standard GT-R has. With these mods you are looking at about 350-400hp at the wheels. We have GT-Rs in OZ that do 8s on radial tyres (Nitto 555R's) and are street registered. No wonder the GTR's nick name is "Godzilla". As for our resident street racer, I used to do the same when I was younger, and I am extemely surprised I survived. Anyone can be a moron and street race, but real men race on the track. You may think your fast, but the really fast guys are at the track and leave all the dregs on the street to fight amongst themselves. Now I'll also bet that you only drag race, real "street racers" race Touge (or circuit if you don't have hills) because that requires skill. Anyone can bury there foot into the firewall and drop the clutch at 5500rpm. So the moral here is if you want to race go to a track and play with the big boys, because thats where you get real cred!!! Hope this helps Your mate in OZ Dave

PSS I don't know why you guys don't start importing Skylines from Australia, they are already complianced to US spec (much easier to register) and we have a free trade agreement!!

What a minite here your the one whos talkin trash about Kitcarguy and his Ford which makes 418hp? 418hp would smoke a stock Skyline as well as a few other cars so its not a PoS regardless of what you say. Even if its is just a Ford atleast he shows us proof of ownership id like to see your ownership of this "So called" 768hp Skyline R34 Nismo. Bottom line is kid hardly any highschooler couldnt handle even 300hp let alone 700hp i know you would wreak it in a heartbeat! anyone else would to so. But if so so what, I can call my good L/P friend a call in Denver which owns a Saleen S7 and a Murcielago. Both cars will out perform your civic "oh i mean Skyline" in every aspect. Plan and simple.
