I have a 1929 Mercedes Benz Gazelle Conv. It needs alot of work but mainly the wiring is a mess. It is on a VW chassis with a VW engine. Can I purchased any wiring harness since I will have to splice into the wires anyway for the general gages? Or do I need to buy a VW harness? Please help.

I would start over with a 12 or 18 circuit Painless harness. that kit should be very easy to wire. the engine in that car requires very little wiring tomake it run. You will be using the Painless harness to do all your lights, horn, wipers, radio, directionals, and anything else your car has. Also go to www.replicaparts.com and look under building supplies for some great wethertight connectors for your lights. Makes wiring a lot easier if you have somewhere to terminate your wires. I have wired at least 8 Cobras and Daytonas and love the Painless system. Worth the price
