Does anyone else think that the Toyota Celica, 2000 or newer, would make a great donor car for a Lambo gallardo? The front end is very similar as is the back end. The interior is not very far off either! Of course you would have to lose the back seat to make it more authentic but that would have to happen to make the rear part of the car correct anyway. Take a look at a 2000 or up Celica and post your thoughts!

I think it could be possible but its 3inches longer than the Gallardo. Aside from that you would have to modify the entier roof of the car and what about the interior? theres back seats and even if you remove them theres still going to be a big gap. Plus the motor is in the front of the car while the Gallardo has it in the back that really wouldnt look good if your looking for an accrate look.
I believe either the Toyota MR2 or Acrua NSX would be a better choice for a car like this. The main reason why id try it on an MR2 is because its very simlaur to that of the Fiero and would requre more extenstions rather than cutting and straching the chassis. Making the body would be kind of easy to. not to mention getting it to perform like a Gallardo wouldnt be hard either with about 10k more after you build it you could have a replicar that would run with a Dodge Viper since this Import tread is going around you could get parts easly.
The only problem with the NSX is the price. Perhaps you could find one with minor body damage. like one that has been in a wreak but the chassis is still in good shape while the body is removed. Pretty much all you need to do is make the body.

nsx,s are pretty cheap now only around 18k-23k . but performace mods are still very expensive. i modded my first car and just a few mods added up real quick 10k can only get me very little, maybe more like 50k then that will be a good start. labor is part of the killer price for me. i cant do anything on cars. but hey these days 10k is nothing to work with at least for me.

Well that is so true. Perhaps an old Lotus Esprit that has been lightly damaged could work since it performs a little bit better than the NSX.

yeah the lotus is pretty nice . i seen 3 so far in my area this year. one of them was smashed on a truck carrying it to a shop. what a waste on a nice car. i like the original better than the new small one.the new one ive only seen 1 on the road. it was ok.

Actually, the new Lotus Esprit is concept and the final market version will be showed after 1 year, maybe. If you mean (as the "new one") Lotus Elise (presented in 1996)...this is not the successor of the Esprit.
