I can tell you right now i have never built a kit but i have seen many kitcars at night. My first lambo countach was seen after 8:30PM and i remember walking to a 7-11 with my bro and we saw a Bradly GT pulling up at the gas pump. There was a testarossa i remember seing one just after midnight that was a kitcar for sure. I think you can drive it at night. It would be much safer to take a Lamborghini Diablo/Countach replica out for a spin after hours because not that many people are out there and the streets are almost epmty. The only problem is those moronic street racers will see you as a midnight snack for there modifed Civics. I wouldnt recomend parking it either unless its in your garage. So dont think about hitting up that clubs after hours unless you live a name brand city thats known to have exotics driving around like Miami. Otherwise some dips-t will steal it. why are repilcas so expensive?!

This has to be the most inane topic I've seen. Yes, the police are out looking for you. Not to mention the Brand Infringement lawyers. Did you know that Harley Davidson tried to patent the sound of their engines? The car is a car is a car. Get the proper registration, insurance, etc. in your state. You, depending on the state in which you live, might have to jump through rings of fire. But once you've gotten it registered in your state, the Boys in Blue could care less about you. Why in the world would a cop want to hassle any vehicle that's not a hazard to the road?

I haven't had any problems at night...yet. If you act stupid they will mess with you but I have not been pulled over for no reason....yet.I did get pulled over once driving a Firebird, he said the person behind me was driving to close. lol www.markalexandermiller.com/SpyderNightFront001.jpg" border=0>

What other reason why would put headlamps on a lambo or ******* replica? for show?.Most Street racers are a-holes and think they are the best and that no one can beat them. They will go to the next level and think they killed a real lambo but yet in there kill story they will be talking about a kitcar and how proud they are and the list goes on. Another thing you have to think about is when it rains in the day time or night because sure you may plan on going out on a nice evening but theres always that one time where you get cought in the rain or snow. So your kit must perform like a champ at knight regardless if you drive it only in the day time. why are repilcas so expensive?! |

cool , i do see alot of the new vettes here. and whats a manta? there is alot of rich people in my area, lots os lambos, *******s etc. i do see the modenas out alot but never ever a lambo in 30yrs. well 1 countach thats it. the guy bought it from a auction. the owner was murdered in it. so he got a good deal. but on topic, im thinking about getting the special construction insurance instead of the fiero , because im worried that the cop wont belive me and impound my car. cops are very thick headed in my area.

Manta Marage is an old replica of the Mclaren CanAm racer back in the 1960's that also raced the F#rrari P4 and the Ford GT-40. Mclaren him self also designed his very own roadcar like the F1 back in the early 70's which was also replicated but the real production model never saw the light of day because he died before it when into production. However the Spirit never died because back in the late 80's the Mclaren F1 was born and was once the worlds fastest and feared roadcar. But Today the Mclaren F1 has passed the Torch of being the fastest car to the new CCR by Koessinging(I cannot spell the companys name) which is faster by to miles perhour and is powered by a Ford V-8 found in the GT.. but the Mclaren F1 still remains as one of the fastest cars in the world. fastest 1)CCR 2)Mclaren F1 3)******* Enzo 4)SLR Mclaren 5)Lamborghini Murcielago.why are repilcas so expensive?! |

Yes it did but the Topspeed is the only thing that it hasnt beatin yet. Even if sadly it will never be known as the fastest car in the world because its not production like the Mclaren F1. The Ultima is a kitcar.why are repilcas so expensive?! |

well looks like kitcars are not so slow anymore. its a completely new ball game now. just because its a kit does not mean its slow. well thats what most kids try to say, that all kits suck.the ultima gtr is a fast and good looking kit. ive seen one in my area . people was drooling all over it like crazy. it was amazing to see it in a parking lot.

Just to set the record straight, the two (2) models of the Manta are the Mirage and the Montage. There is no Manta Marage! As for kitcar speed your are only limited by your capabilities and your budget. Aircraft engineer in Colorado recently completed a Manta with twin turbo SB Chevy engine (1100 HP, detuned to 800 HP for the street) that has documented 0 - 60 mph time of 2.9 seconds. Estimated top speed is in excess of 200 mph; however, he has not yet found the courage to take it above 180 mph. Mike

Your serious right? I know it was the Montage or something like that but i remembered it said something GTB or something on the back of the car.But if you are right your telling me i might have seen the fastest car in Colorado Springs?. I mean this guys car had a rearwing it was red also he went to the drive through to get some food when i saw it. I was planing to race that and also that Blue countach that i keep seing around here. but gezz man this car could probably beat those 1000bhp Supras i see around here not to mention that its way lighter also. These would make great track cars. How can i get one of those cars anyway? Im currently looking for a cheap and reasonable project car and this might be it. why are repilcas so expensive?! |
