I am looking for the current whereabout of production molds and tooling for the Laser 917, a semi-scale replica of the Porsche 917(L or lang) built on a VW platform. In 1990, I talked to the then owner of the molds, a MR. Dennis Denevy of Denevy manufacturing. Dennis lived and worked in or near the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area, and was an engineer at CSA in Rexdale. Any leads, anyone? Also, did Marauder not make a 917K in or around the same time? Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks, Shawn |

go to www.laser917.org or some varation of that. The molds were sold to dale hanes, who cleaned them up and produced a few bodies. He had them for sale, they were unusable when he got them. This was about 2 years ago. I used to own one, fun little car. Scared the crap out of people when I drove it on the street. If you have any more questions just email me at weary microbe @ tmail.(Spam, )com So much kit car history in my head it's scary some times. 88 Mera GTS. Unfortunately Dale Haines is no long er with us. Shortly before he passed away he sold the molds. Last I heard the new owner was being shipped off to Iraq and planned to go into production when he returned.Rick Lord http://www.kingdomcustoms.com |

I own the molds, tooling, and naming rights for the Laser 917. My business is taking me in a different direction and I will be selling everything for the Laser production. I wanted to build them but currently I do not have the time and I feel it would be a shame to let the molds sit in storage any longer.Shawn |
