Does anyone know where you can find a kit to change your older body Sl500 into the new style? A guy has one on lamborghini replica for trade. Or, does anyone know if the new body panels just fit on the old frame? Any help would be great! Thanks, Jim

I found this site, but I don't know what language it is or what country they are in. Check out the VH Sports Line.

I am guessing from your screen name you have a 355...Is this correct? I have a 355 replica. I looked for about two years before I finally found this one. Most looked like they had been put together with a hot glue gun. I finally found this one in Tennessee and it was the best I had ever seen. How about you?

Unfortunately not, it was my next project then I bought my house about a 2 years ago. I'm back in a position to get another project statred though. I've have had 3 308 replica's. The last one was a MERA, I sold it on ebay for my downpayment money. I had one F40 and one SL500. I just love the idea of spending $5-$10k and people thinking you spent $50-100K. Kit Cars/Replica are great.

The company called VH Tuning are based in Belgium, but they also have build-up agents for their kits in Spain and Germany. These type of Mercedes update body kits are popular in Europe.
But if you want a supercar look to your SL there is another company in Germany called Lotec. They have a McLaren SLR style front (bonnet) hood that replaces the standard one on the current SL. Its called the SL-R style.
Lotec are well known for their Mercedes Benz tuning kits and for their exotic F*r**ri beating supercars.

I looked at that website that you recommended for the SLR look. I have a 2003 SL500 and those panels would make it look great! Have you ever purchased from a company overseas? I have not and I am a little worried about actually receiving the panels and also the quality.

There was a set of SLR molds for the SL on Ebay about two weeks ago. I made a inquiry to the seller. They were in Dallas, I'm in Houston. The auction closed w/no bid and a starting price of $2,500. I couldn't fine the email or auction again.
