Hello there, I was wondering if there is a kitcar out there that resembles the Pagani Zonda C12. Please post the replies in the forum. Thanks:] -Speedster11 |

I would think if anyone did do something 'resembling' a Zonda they will probably find something hitting the fan pretty soon.John

A Zonda replica would look good, but you could have legal problems. So how about a Zonda style lookalike. It doesn't have to be exactly as the original but inspired by it. Most people wouldn't know the difference anyway as you don't see many on the road every day. (In fact I have never seen a real one)Check out this PS image of what a European Opel Speedster (rebodied Lotus Elise) could look like with a Zonda style front end. I'm sure it can be done. http://img132.exs.cx/img132/4277/zondastyleopelspeedster3jz.jpg

Yeah, good mix from 2 pictures But the alluminum chassis of Opel Speedster/Wauxhall VX220/Lotus Elise/Lotus Exige is not lower like the Zonda's front end. http://mythos.hit.bg/about_me.html |

The Zonda is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful supercars ever. Unfortunately, building one would be more complicated than building a Diablo Replica. The Zonda is like an F1 car rebody, and it sits so low to the ground as such an amazingly low height that a custom chassis is a must and a suitable donor just doesn't exist.Assuming you got the fiberglass or CF work done on your brand new chassis, you'd have to power it. The closest thing to the Zonda engine on the road is the SL's V12 from Mercedes, although the V12 in the Zonda is a liter or so bigger. The Pagani Zonda is wonderful but the cost to replicate one is just not worth it.

The biggest problem are the specific front windshield and the glasses. The rest of the car is easy to replicate, including the steel tubular chassis (instead of the original cevlar middle section).http://mythos.hit.bg/about_me.html |

Well if thats possible to make the worlds most expensive car into a replica then their is a chance to make a Zonda replica. I have seen a F50 replica built on a NSX chassis so it could be done like that.why are repilcas so expensive?! |
