Does anyone know anything about Scat Enterprises? They made a water cooled conversion for V.W.s a few years ago. It sure would be nice to have a heater!

as far as i know about the scat WC engines, they were based on inline 4-cylinder powerlants used in the rabbit/golf/jetta, adapted to fit a vw transaxle so they could be used in offroad vehicles.

No: The ones I am speaking of used regular Beetle flat four block and Scat water cooled Cylinders and heads. They were used in Midget race cars etc. Same size as a Beetle engine.

oh, that is interesting. i am not familiar with those engines. for other options, look at the KEP engineering website, they make adpater kits for installing all sorts of engines onto a VW tranaxle. also TIICO make kits for installing subaru and inline 4 cylinder into vanagon.
