Hi guys new to this forum. Selling my 96 nsx and looking for diablo turnkey. Don't really care how fast it goes, but I'm anal and it has to be perfect. The two I really like are Ron's Toy Store which I think is also North American Exotics and Rehberg motorcars but both in thr $70G range. Fiero engine okay for me, but does anyone know where to get that kind of quality for $50g Thanks in advance ,Mike

Hey Mike,
did you see the 2002 Diablo 'GT' Finished cheap and amazing. I dont know if this is what you are looking for but it is only $17,000. Worth taking a look... I just was looking at it and then saw your post.

Best of Luck,
DD

Yea Diablo Dude I been watching this car for about two months, Something fishy. It sold on ebay from SF to a guy in NY for $31,000. The the guy in NY relisted it and it got up to $33,000 and reserve was not met. Now the same pic and same car for only $17,000. I'd but it in a minute but someyhing isn't right. I called the guy about a month ago to see if he would trade me for my nsx. He said he only dealt in exotic Italian cars . I told him this is not an Italian car and I guess I pissed him off.

hey guys, about that $17,000 diablo, its 17k since that is whats its worth. the exterior of the car isnt too bad, and the badging, incl serial plates are in the right spots, but i had him send me the other pictures of the car which arent posted on the site, and the interior of the car is horrible. The seats definitely arent lambo seats, its manual tranny shifter looks odd, and the dash is inaccurate. Its another case of people putting all of their money on the outside of the car, and not the inside. for the record, how much do you want for the nsx? i am interested

Im sure you can talk to the people at D&R at getting you into a cheap turnkey for under 50k. Personaly i would go with IFG because they dont surpass over 60k like NAREC does Plus there kits are just about the same. The only diffrences that see between them is the headlamps. As far as D&R they are best of both worlds. I would rather buy a turnkey from them.

why are repilcas so expensive?!

If you do all the work your self i will not surpass 70k not even 50k. I have been doing some reasearch for some time and what i have learned the more you work on the car the less you pay. Bottom line is companys will try and rip you off when it comes to buying turnkeys. Its not diffrent from buying a Corvette or a Viper from a dealership. You better off paying them a vist and also haveing cash money!. If you have around 41thousand in your pocket the chances are they will get all the paper work done for you and you will never have to pay them again. So if a car cost 75k or less and and you have at least eough money like oh say 50k cash trust me they will sell it to you right off the bat!.

actually you would need to come to the shop with $75,000 cash to buy the car. i don't know of any of the top builders that mark up their prices that much, its what it cost to build the car, if you buy one for $50,000 then it won't be anywhere near the quality. these cars appraise over $100,000.

ive looked into many companys in the industry, if you want quality its going to cost around 75k-120k, the good companys will charge you more because they are better builders. i found out that anyone who builds their own cars always cut corners some where in the car. they just dont look as good as these professional builders. im really looking into a kit as well . the companys im looking into is exotic glass, wild rides and north american. they are the best in the industry right now. ive seen all of their sites . exotic glass is the one im thinking about going with currently . they have the most pics of proof on the cars they build. these are their own pics i supposed, and not stolen from another website like most companys do.i will do more research and then decide on which company to go with . most cheap kit cars that i see has a very crappy interior. it looks like junk. that is a sure give away. people will laugh at that crap.whats the difference betwwen d&r and ifg ? i wonder how many cars each company is currently building right now ? whoever that is building the most cars right now must be the most trusting company out there in the industry. i see the most proof on exotic glass and north american replicas website. they must be the best in the industry.

The only problem with North American is there prices for a turnkey is just plane out highway robbery. With the money you pay for there turnkeys you might as well buy the real thing.

D&R and IFG is the best kitcar companys with Lamborghinis you can buy besides Exotic Ellustions because there prices arent that expensive and they dealeiever the same lambo look. Not to mention there servicing gets great feedback so they have to be the best. Im not going to lie North American is great but at that price where talking the real thing here. Anything possible under 50k is grant with a tube chassis me im currently looking into both a real car and a replica with a V-8/12 and im seing that if you build the entre car you will save atleast 10-20grand if you do everything your self.

Those are all good companies. One thing I have learned is you get what you pay for. Lambos are probably one of the hardest kits to build. That's why quality turnkeys take so long and cost alot to build. You have to consider the labor cost involved by having professionals do the build. Sure you can do the work yourself, cut corners, save some cash. You'll still spend at least $25K with alot of work ahead of you. But wouldn't you rather drive a reliable turnkey that was built right? I looked at many kits before I decided to go with Exotic Illusions for my Countach. Quality was important to me. Cheap kits with Fiero interiors,no weather stripping, door hinges that look like they came off a tool shed. Poor insulating leading to tons of interior noise. Plus stuff like Suzuki taillights!
What a joke. Be smart, its a big investment either way so make sure you are happy. Take a look at my blue 2004 Countach for sale and see the difference. No one has ever asked me if it was a kit. As far as Diablos, I really like D&R. A quality car for the price. Do your homework and go with someone with a good reputation. Be careful of these self proclaimed professionals. You get what you pay for!

true you do get what you pay for, otherwise why pay 75-100k when you can get one for 25k. look at what the difference is. as for beginners they dont know . but the more you look into it , you will learn more each day. to build one yourself , and not prosfessionals is crazy. look at the personal builds compare to the pros. its no contest at all. the 25-30k crap replicas are sooo bad looking that its a sure give away when you drive it. people will laugh at your fiero interior, or poor paint jobs, fiero engine which will break down anytime, bad rims, etc its endless. the pros always do a much better job, thats what i think. take a look at some of the personal builds compare to the pros. you will see the cut corners and bad interiors. thats my 2 cents.
