okay,
as a kid I remember seeing these fiero's running around with
an odd air scoop/intake that (seen two different versions) would either snake over the rear of the car or from either side.

its hard to describe, they looked like a smooth boxy shape, honeycomb inlet that widened and mounted to the top of the engine cover.

anyone know what these were (who made them, name)
or have any pics?

Ask on www.fiero.nl I know that someone there has to have one of those. The only cars that I have seen them on lately are 2nd gen mr2's.

Those scoops were actually on the INDY PACE CARS in the Mid 80's .Don't know who made them for Pontiac though.

And they were totally non-functional. As much as I loved Fieros I never did see the appeal of those scoops.
