hey everyone. my name is nicky. im new to this. i live in dubai and kitcars has been a real interest to me of late. anyways coming down to business. i have 40k Dollars. i have a choice of buying a diablo roadster replica, a 05 vette, 350 z nissan or a plymouth prowler. i dont have a daily driver so this would pretty much be it. what would u guys suggest i get. ive narrowed down my choices to this. am in love with the roadster. dubai is primarily a desert and it can get bloody hot here. if i get a roadster will it be able to handle the heat here? i dont know how practical the diablo roadster is as a daily driver. any feedback from people who own this would be highly appreciated. thanks nicky

i wouldn tsay the prowler, i love the care but it would be freakin expensive to have it serviced since its a superrare sports car, and im sure only dealerships can work on, and they will charge whatever they want. id say the 350Z OR the Diablo, diablo would save u more money in the long run in maintnance and insurance just my 2c Matt '96 Jaguar XJ6(burgundy) '93 Dodge Stealth ES '83 Jaguar XJ6(hunter) '80 Mercedes-Benz 300CD '77 MG B soon to be mine 00-01 S2000 AUG-NOV |

What do you want from a car? Do you want bang for the buck? and if you do then go with a corvette but there is way to many corvettes and there not all that exotic. A 350 z is good if your into Tunner cars and cannot afford a Skyline. If you want a lamborghini replica go with IFG kits www.ifgonline.com that site will give you a line up of parts and you dont have to use a fiero chassis either!. If you play your cards right you can have a lamborghini Diablo replica on a custom chassis with a V8 for under 40k if you do all the work your self. If it was me i would go with the lambo replica because there are no other real production car out there thats gonna give you an exotic car look and eximent for under 40k. Other car you can by thats just fun is a Dodge viper i call them supra killers you can find one like a 2000 for under 50k good luck on you buy!why are repilcas so expensive?! |

ok still didnt help me. now i understand that the diablo roadster would be cheapest to maintain. what about performance. vette 0-60 mph in under 5 sec prowler under 6 sec z 350 under 6 sec what would a v8 diablo roadster be able to do? would the performance of that in road handling and all other features be just as good as a production car or will i not be able to drive at high speeds? the performance matters a lot to me as well since dubai has excellent roads for high speed driving. im currently driving a chrysler 300 m and thats a beautiful car to drive. will it compare to that? or will i regret my decision to buy a diablo roadster? i want to know more about the performance and if i will be able to use that as a daily driver. plus the ac of that wil have to be extremely good because temperature can soar to more than 50 degrees centegrade . my first choice would definitely be the roadster replica because i just love that car. i can get a good builder in dubai for about 1500 dollars a month. would it be better for me to buy it in ready or build it myself? if i have someone working on it full time how long do you think it would take to build?

It all depenands on what you have under the hood. When i start my build up im planning to use a Viper V10 and im also building it for street use. The car may be a replica but im not going to let some kid in a honda civic push me around no he!! no! im going to blow the doors of that rycer!. A standard lamborghini replica has either a north star or 350 chevy engine( same as the CORVETTE!) so if your going with a corvette engine it should have the same performance as a vette if not better. Plus a replica lambo weights under 3000lbs so its light compared to a Z06 which 3300lbs. I have even herd storys of builders using a caddy northstar and hiting 190mph! top speed and also using an IFG kit now what you should do is contact some builders as well as companys who make roadster you want oh yea and read the advise on this site to it will help you in the long run.why are repilcas so expensive?! |

Hey Nicky,My suggestion is get yourself a Hyundai Accent straight cash deal for 7G's and save the rest of the dough for your "Parallel design lambo". Cause this is the best bang for your buck and awesome identical Diablo body. It will cost a wee bit on shipping cause it's from UK but the quality and sheer craftsmanship is no comparison. Like I said Nicky, save ur dough and get it right the first time.

Diablo roadster replica definitely. You can make it how you want it, and work it to however fast you'd like it to go easily.

Hey thats a nice engine! but if i were you i would go with IFG they got a custom chassis that can be built around that M5 engine. Plus they got alot of bodys to chose from. If you can get a Lamborghini replica you should also check out the new GTO from pontac. I got to set in a Chevy SSR, Acura NSX awsome car, And the GTO its got a corvette engine and you can turn on the rado without even turning on the car. But good luck with your build.why are repilcas so expensive?! |

build it yourself , its not that hard. you will save over 45-50,000.00 in just the labor costs. this way you can get a powerful engine and a nice interior too. you dont want one of those crappy fiero interiors. thats how people know its a fiero.

I would know if its a fiero or a real one because i have been into both replicas and exotic supercars my hole life but theres nothing wrong with replicas in think there more excieting than the real ones. Theres a D&R Countach driving around here in Colorado Springs its nice and blue and theres also a Mclaren in red driving around to all i know is there both kits. What make a lamborghini is the performance these days you wanna have a good engine something with around 500hp something a little better than a corvette Z06. Then you can say 'so what if its a replica i can smoke the doors of a real one!'why are repilcas so expensive?! |
