I've been a huge fan of Toyota's 4ag and having autocrossed both a Japan only Sprinter Trueno TE27 AND a nicely done 86 AE86 ... I'm a fan of Toyotas in general.

That being said, I was hoping to try something a little different and build a Lotus Seven style of car ... it might be a LOCOST and I have access to a 20 valve 4ag motor.

I hope to tap some of the enthusiasm and experience found on these pages and perhaps some of you can assist in transforming this British legend into the ultimate Toyota powered autocrosser ...

The 20 valve motor I have access to is in good condition and has low miles but I do not have any electronics ... just a pig tail of cut wires ... what needs to be done to make this happen ? I'd love to keep it fuel injected and have the drivability and reliability of a more traditional 16 valve 4age (like in an AE86) but would be open to carburation if this makes life simpler and if it's that much more cost effective ... any ideas ? I hope someone has some suggestions to make this 20 valve heart beat in my future "Seven" project.

Thanks,
Al

PS ... if I go to "aftermarket fuel/ignition management ... what parts and brands do you suggest?

Try going to Yahoo groups and look up locost, or the CMC sight, go to the links, both locost groups have lots of guys using toyota equipment.
Good Luck
