About the "C4 to C5 change over pack"

1) http://www.euroworksltd.com/Corvette-Kits/
2) http://www.c5west.com/dex.html

Both of them are saying that the conversion kit is theirs.
Both of them are saying that the pics. are theirs.
Both of them are the only one who made it first.

But who is the scammer???

well looking at them i would buy from C5west befor auroworks... not saying euroworks is a scammer, they might just be drop shipping...legal, just kinda shady... it looks to me like C5west had the pictures first... and they also have more pictures of the kit.. almost every "C5" on C5 west's site is a C4 updated (note the narrower area between the door and the back wheel well, where the Z06 scoops are places... it is widder in a real C5... also.. the head lights are all rectangular not rounded... and lastly.. the interiors are the C4 interior)
also the burgundy updated convertable C4 that euroworks says is theirs is also on the C5 site.. like u noticed... but c5west also has the same car under the "c4 speedster convertable" section, modeling another C5 product.. and the really shiny red vette on euroworks is also on c5's site sporting their C4 speedster coupe product...
so it seems euroworks stole the pics... but i do not think euroworks is a scam.. we have all seen the attack they make and thats not stollen from any 1 (is it?) i think they are just dropshipping the vette kit from the C5west site and hoping you will order the package they sell that includes the mirrors and adapters.. as where the basic kit on both sites is $1295 the package with the mirrors is only $500 more with c5west but with euroworks.. the difference is $1700 so if they are just re-selling the C5west kits.. they are getting a nice mark up of 1200 a kit... and even at the euroworks price its still pretty fair.. so the c5west kit is even better priced...
so in conclusion... id buy from C5west.. since they do specialize in vette body upgrades.. and that is mostly the only thing they do whereas euroworks its onyl a side thing but at the bottom of the list.. to makbe make them a few grand aside from the attack, diablo's and evoluzions...
hope this helps/ makes sence
Matt

some numbers....
1984-1996 C4 corvette $4000-5000 (found 25-50 on autotrader)
the C5west update $1795 (with mirrors)
the C5west coupe-vert update $895 (or the cheaper $495 speedster hatch version with a safer roll bar)

there ya go a newer look vette with the options of a targa, coupe, or convertable for under 8,000 (with out paint) pretty good deal i think.. i might wanna do that.. what u guys think.. seems pretty easy.. and if ya get a darker paint no one would even notice the lines indicating the older style headlights...

just an idea

c5 west had it first, or vanacour corvettes may have been the real makers... which euroworks get them from, they dont get them from c5 west...but
A. it really does not look that good as the pictures make you think.
B. you can tell a big differance if the car is a coupe with the top, and even the convertibles with the windshield
C. the hood is unchanged and looks bad as well as the headlights that were aready pointed out.
D. the door handles need to be changed in order to really give it the look that you would want, which c5 west does not tell you about, but can be done..just more money.
E. the price of 4500- 5000 is for a 84 to about 86 model...you will not find a 91 to 96 model for any where close to that price and 84's are the worst vettes every made...with the cross fire 350..and have mercy on you if you got stuck with the 4+3 manuel tranny... 85 is a little better with the tpi but with iron heads 86 and up is tpi with alu. heads...but the dashs are horrible. and didnt change till 90 i think..which you can get one for about 8000 to 9000 in good shape...which if you where going to buy a vette you dont want one where you have to do too much work...parts are way over priced...
i think if you are going to do one then you would spend about 15000 to do it and do it right running and driving with everything working and finished.. which brings me to my final point.. new c5 97 model are going for less the 20000 now..so why not just go by that instead and save your time and money that you would spend on doing all that and still look like a c4...

here a few pages to prove my point look at the buy it now not the current bids..

and there are many more out there...plus they are just nice to ridein. the c4's rode way to rough .i think that would be your best bet

eclipticknight thanks for the info, i was aware you could get older C5s (97-98) for under 20k, thats why i wouldnt do the update if it cost any more then 10k... but dont know much about the history of vettes, not much into the american stuff, also your right if they just tried to fix somemore of the litte stuff like the headlights, door handels, maybe fix some of the wrong measurments, hood, and a dash kit... it might be worth it, but just like the Z3 kit, now the price is probly gonna drop soon since the new C6 just came out... now id love a update for a C6 seems a little harder though.. allready would have to replace headlights, hood, bumper to fit the lights, doors/door handels...

vipereplica... i dont know what that means, they could just be worried about someone scouting for a place to break into and steal tools, and since they arnt really in the kit car scene they probly dont know that its normal to request a manf facilities and how many scamms that are run in this business...

thanks for the info and i hope this helps
