Many of you will have seen pictures of the new 2004 Ford Shelby Cobra concept car which
has been shown at the recent Detroit Autoshow.
As the Cobra has become the most copied car in history I`m sure many will want
to have a replica of this one very soon.
You could even make a rebody kit to fit onto a Mazda MX5 Miata
or even a Honda S2000 as the size is very similar.
Now, who is going to be the first to build one ?
It would not be the first time someone has built a replica of a concept car before the
production models came out. Recent examples have been the Porsche Carrera GT
or the McLaren Mercedes SLR.
I`m sure there is a market for concept car replicas.

Yeah...but Daisy is an ugly car. It isn't true to the original idea behind the Cobra, it's square where the Cobra is round, it's long and ungainly, and it doesn't even have sidepipes.

It didn't start off life as a Cobra, it just ended up as another bad idea with Shelby's name stuck on it.

There are far more attractive cars out there that should be replicated.

Your pal,
Meat.

opinions opinions.... true i would of liked to see it with the side pipes and a V8 instead of the 10cyl but thats what i think... im sure there will be one out with in the year, but like meat said.. doesnt stay true to the cobra... but i wouldnt say it was another bad idea with shelbys name on it.. its still a car and it still is in my eyes somewhat of a work of art...my opinion of an ugly car is the countach but it still seems ppl are replicating them...

but yea jay... the Mx5 or S2000 would be good, and if prived right id probly buy one

thanks
Matt

Problem is...it probably won't make it to production. I loved the concept the first time I saw it. I would very much like to see a replica of this car. If anybody hears of anything, let me know. Also, I hadn't heard of the SLR McLaren replica, any info or pics of that?
