If stay with the TPI will the knock sensor fit on the ZZ4? Also I want to go with a programmable computer. What do yall think? Keep in mind I am do not have any money MY WIFE has it all! Jim |

JIM,If you.re bucks down a little after buying the moter,go with you stock 85 systmn for now,it is a mass airflow systmn, and can adjust itself for the differences in the moter that a later model speed density systmn can't,the knock sensor just screws into the hole for the drain plug in the side of the block. Yep, I agree with Mike; stick with the Bosch MAF. As a caveat though, I don't know enough about the differences in the ZZ4 as opposed to the C$ 350; I don't know if the bolt patterns are the same for all the stuff. You might want to check that out (I made the mistake of mixing/matching parts between a Corvette and a Camaro, and discovered that not only did the fuel rails come out on different sides, but that there's apparently an extra injector for cold starts on the early (including yours, I believe) C4s.Might want to do a bit more in-depth checking! Your pal, Meat.

The zz-4 heads have the later intake bolt pattern on the 2 center bolts on each side, you can modify the holes a little on the 85 lower intake, or get a late86 up lower intake and use the upper end of your 85 manifold, the mas systmn will hold the dwell longer on the injectors to keep the fuel ratio from leaning out,but it woulden't hurt to go up a little in injector size, upgrade chips for your computer are dirt cheap also.MIKE
