I'm in the market to do a kit. Cobras are a consideration, I am also a fan of the 4.6 liter engine. So, how long will I have to wait? Also, would a Lincoln Mark VIII work as a donor? TIA |

Parts of the Mark VII will work, but you'll still need a bunch of parts from a Mustang. It's better to go with the single donor or a pallet Mustang.Your pal, Meat.

Hey Meat. you seem to have a lot of knowledge about many different products. I am considering a few choices : one is th FFR Spyder and the other is from Euro Works. The other cars I have looked at are from Fancy Cars. I know that they build someone elses cars , but I'm not sure who's.Another question is this. I would love to use a modern Hemi in a car or even the Viper 500 horse V-10. Would the FFR work with either of these ? I know they are Ford based , but what options are there. A New Hemi would be awesome. Let me know your thoughts. Michael P. Birmingham

A Hemi will fit in most - not all - Cobra replicas. The FFR Spyder started off life as a Daytona Coupe - and uses alot of the "stock" FFR stuff (including the lengthened chassis). The engines that will fit the FFR (small block, big block, 4.6) will fit the Spyder without much in the way of modification. The Viper V10 is a long engine. It will have some fitment problems in some of the cars. The car that I have successfully seen the V10 powerplant utilized in is the Classic Roadsters Cobra (which is a longer/wider Cobra to begin with) known as "Double Venom." The Euro-Works and Fancy Cars are significantly different than the FFR, or a Cobra. You need to consider what - exactly - you're looking for in a kit car. Your pal, Meat.
