I want to share my opinion too! In my opinion authenticity does not have a lot to do with being the "best" kit. My idea of the best kit is one that is more complete, has a good manual, and most importantly is a good quality kit. Not one that looks like it was their first try at fiberglassing in their back yard. Personally I really like D&Rs kits. I saw an NAERC and CRP kit last week and was shocked at the quility of the fiberglass. I still think they are both great kits, especially the NAERC, but I kind of expected more as far as the quality of the fiberglass goes. Just my opinion.
