Hey all,
I was just thinking of how cool it would be to be able to put the restyled (redesigned, replaced, whatever) Elise body panels on the MK1 elise chasis. It could possibly save a few $ over the new model. (which I think goes for about 49k$ in the US)
My question is is it possibe to do this, are the chasis similar in size and mounting points? I think its possible to buy the actual body panels from the lotus factory, but im not 100% sure...
The other thing is that there are few to none US-spec MK1 elises to be found, unless one would like to use the club-racers, as they are more common. (but still rare)
If there are so few US-Spec MK1's in the US then this idea might only be possibe across the pond, but annyway I think it might have its merits, if it does in fact work out.
Thanks!
