I'm looking for a porsche carrera GT. I've seen some around. There is even one person in Cali that has done a great job with his. Unfortunately, though the exterior looks good, the interior looks plain. Does anyone know of a Carrera GT manufacturer with an exact exterior and interior? |

I have to agree w/ you. I was suppose to purchase a vehicle, however the interior left alot to be desired. Its hard to find an exact interior replica, at least at this point. Maybe in a year or 2. You could always purchase the vehicle in Cali, and have a specialist create a near similar interior to the actual GT. May cost a few bucks unless you get the car for around $20,000, then you'll have the extra money to spend on upgrading the interior.C GT

Ice, The person in Cali is the only one manufacturing Carrera Gt Bodies. The quality is supurb too. I agree the interior needs some reworking but not too difficult. He has made changes to the center console a few times now, but still not quite right. The insturment cluster needs some detail mods but all in all Steve has done it again! :) Any other questions please feel free to let me know. EEExotic.

What do you mean "Steve has done it again". I agree that the exterior work was beautiful, although the doors opening is limited and scrape, the speakers are behind the head rest and sound gets muffled. The interior work is clean but lacks any detail. You can spot this vehicle as a phony w/ in minutes once you look at the interior. People want much better interior if they're going to spend that kind of money

the first Carrera GT "kit" was finished in feb of 02. Porsche had only released photos of their concept car a few months prior to this.Unless you were lucky enough to see it at the Paris auto show. Up until the mid part of this year when they finally let the production vehicle be seen. Steve only had photos to go by when creating this kit. He is one builder that I, along with many other coach builders respect. Yes the interior is in need of some redesign but the body is pretty impressive. now that porsche has desided what they are actually going to do in terms of the interior design, removable top, rear rollbar and new rear deck lid. All of this can be changed. For the money the kit goes for and the price of a real one. there is alot of room for custom work. $20,000 - $30,000 for a $400,000+ vehicle look. I would have to say he did it again. Not to mention his Murci kit out before anyone else.
