I haven't been able to find a good donor car yet, but, it seems that finding an engine here and a tranny there is no big deal. If I can pick up the major components individually, what donor car parts are are best purchased as new? For instance, I'd think a new fuel tank would be a better idea than a 15 year old rusty one on an old beater Mustang. I'm thinking that the instrument cluster would be a hard one to find on an individual basis - any third party sources for this?

You can get a lot of good information on the FFR cars at www.ffcobra.com .

These guys have a lot of experience with building these cars, and are happy to share their insight and aquired knowledge with any fellow FFR owner. There's a LOT of tips to be picked up there, which will not only prevent costly mistakes, but will result in a nicer, safer car.

Enjoy!
