This car is supposed to be manufactured in sweden during the 80s. 200 cars were produced, most of them ended up in spain. Its built on a VW-chassie, type 3 engine.

Well, it looks like Manta Mirage, however, the Mirage was set up with a tubular chassis - not a VW chassis.

It could also be a Maurader, which at one point did use VW suspension.

In either case, it's a replica of at McLaren M6.

Hope that helps!

Meat.

Nope. You're totally incorrect.

Oh, and there was never any manta made for the vw body.

Meat.

Meat is once again Correct...

The Manta Montage was based on a VW pan, then later on a tube frame and made to used a FWD engine/transaxle setup [the Montage T-car]

The Manta Mirage was built on a Tube frame and used a Chevy 350 and Transaxle of the builder choice.

It sure looks like a Manta Mirage. Check out this site for more info http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=236622

BTW, I'm not a Manta Mirage expert, but I think the original had VW front suspension and used Chevrolet Covair rear suspension & transaxle.Go to Top of Page

Hey Speed, your right it is a Mirage. There is one on E-Bay kit cars right now. They sure look the same.
Mr. Meat, I once had the little booklet on Manta cars, and the Montage was to be mounted on a VW frame, or a VW style frame with GM engine and tranny from FWD cars. Now that was just the Montage, the Mirage was just the custom frame and not the VW style.
Hey Speed how ya doing? Not much progress on the V12 250 lately. Maybe next week I'll trail fit the motor.
