WHER ARE THEY NOW?? CARL WADE

You might remember a fanstatic builder/driver from the mid-70's from Hardey Motors Fame.
Carl Wade was the Chief Builder for Hardey Motors, starting with Allard J2X replicas and then moving forward in 1977 with Unique's Shelby Cobra replicars.

After moving on from Hardey Motors and spending some years near Charlotte Motor Speedway, Carl settled into retirement in Denver, Colorado. Retirement? NOT! Once bitten by the Cobra, as long as the heart beats the fever is there.

Chris Sutton, shop owner of S & S Automotive in Denver, Colorado, aka ColoradoCobras.com, met with Carl two years ago and joined in Unique Cobra building for the discerning drivers of Denver and the surrounding metro area. Driving conditions on Rocky Mountain winding roads were perfect for the small block versions, but altitude changes plagued performance.

Another partnership was forged.....Dave Cimbura of Momar Fuel Injection Systems was tooling away in his mountain shop of Grand Lake, Colorado. Dave had developed a Fuel Injection System that was tooled to look like a Quad Weber set-up, and was tuned by laptop computer! Carl Wade being the Cobra purist he is was intrigued with the look and possible performance gains by Momar EFI.

Carl is still building Unique Motorcar Cobra replicars. But now they are Fuel Injected! Carl really enjoys the new laptop computer tuning abilities and bending power curves by keyboard. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!

With Cris Sutton's high perfomance and supercharging background coupled with Carl's 25 years of Cobra building there is no finer "marriage of minds" for Cobra enthusiasts.

For more information, contact Carl at 303.750.2808, visit S & S Automotive 8500 East Warren Ave Denver, CO or visit our web site www.ColoradoCobras.com
