Tell me what you guys think here. Trying to decide on different kits, authenticity to me is fairly important. Which one is it and why?

The white one is the replica...the mirrrors give it away for me. Change the mirrors and get rid of the US spec front bumper and it would look good.

i dissagree. The Red one is the replica. Why?...because on a real countach, the side air intakes are real and functional. Especially the main air louver on the door panel(s). The red one is a close kit though.

Is this a trick question?

I think they are both replicas…the little air intakes on the front part of the bumper and just below the door air intake seems to be blocked. Some thing that (although I have never seen a real 25th Anniversario) don’t seem to have. Have a look here www.lambocars.com it is the best picture site for Lamborghini.

The red is the obvious fake. 1. flat glass everywhere, 2. non-working NACA scoops, 3. skinny rear tires, 4. front bumper, 5. even the front fenders are over done, should I go on. Not to mention the white one has a US spec bumper, who would put that on a kit anyway? It's possible the white one is a kit as well, just a better replicated one.

The red car is an Exotic Illusions car. In fact, I believe I was standing next to Curt Scott when he took that picture.

The white car is an IFG.

The correct answer to your question, Zartuul, is: they are both replicas.

Your pal,
Meat.

By the way meat, your answer to zartuul (mr.taliwhacker) is of no use to him. Let me point out to you that the essence of his question is to find out which one looks more authentic, NOT WHICH ONE YOU KNOW IS A REPLICA (BECUASE YOU WERE STANDING NEXT TO CURT SCOTT - WHICH NOOOOOBODY CARES WHETHER YOU DID OR NOT), ALL HE IS ASKING IS WHICH ONE WILL FOOL THE MOST PEOPLE. Well, now that that is clarified, maybe your next post will help out your comrade.
P.S. Just be quiet!

I did not respond to - nor is there any member here - named "taliwacker."

You have incorrectly interpreted a post that is fairly straightforward, and written in plain english. The question is "Which ones the replica?" My answer "they are both replicas" answers not only the question, but also the essence of the question.

I'm sorry that you have such a comprehension problem. I'm sure that when you reach 7th grade they'll be able to help you out with that.

Maybe after your nap you'll be less colicky.

And as far as standing next to Curt Scott...well, I'd certainly rather stand next to him than have to bribe a sitter to spend time watching you.

Your pal,
Meat.

Mr. meathead, read the statement. zaltuur (Mr. Taliwhacker - spell it correctly next time you reply) is mainly concerned about choosing the one that looks more authentic.
And why the HecK is your name meat? Can't you get a reeeal name like vanilla thunder or something. Dag! you know, it just gets me concerned how brothers involved in the kitcar industry are settling for names like zaltur habib. And meat, were you hungry when you thought that up. Man all I have to say is hoombuyya heh vanilla thunder, use it at no extra charge. Say it with me vanilla thunderrrrrr...go meat it's your birthday go meat it's your birthday. ethyls2VX listen rubbing alcohol, what the hecK is your problem? Butting your nose into everything. Just sit down! Just sit down! Ain't nobody here talking to you. All of a sudden your ethyl-alcohol-self wanna start somethin'. Just sit down and let vanilla meat do his thing. I know people need attention but dag. Are you a chemist or something, just sit down before you start combusting all up in here.

Sincerly,
P.S. Just be quiet!

I did read the post. The post is not a statement, it is a series of statements that begins with a question, and ends with a question. It also included two photos, which you seem to have forgotten in your response.

You completely misunderstood what the post was about. This in no way surprises me, since most pre-teens have comprehension problems.

Eventually the Mitch will ban you. No great loss.

Your pal,
Meat.

You're not a fly, you're an idiot. But you do make the rest of us look brilliant. Someone's got to be on the bottom of the grading curve, glad that you've chosen to be that throw-away person.

Wow. You are really not very bright if you don't know what a 360 is as it pertains to cars.

But hey, don't let that stop you from looking even more stupid. Please continue showing us that you're a pre-teen with no interest in kit cars, and no social etiquette.

Aye Meat they are both Replicas :) Wasn't meaning to deceive or trick anyone here but if people have a preconceived notion it tends to bias their judgement. Meat you seem to be fairly knowledgeable on the replica subject. There any replica companies that have caught your eye? I have been looking at two of them mainly. Exotic Illusions and Euroworks. Euroworks has a pretty fine kit, however they don't have any turnkey options. I wouldn't know where to go to have their kit built as I'm not a mechanic or body man in anyway.

Exotic Illusions has a kit and build their cars to turnkeys. However they don't have many pics of their cars to see how authentic looking they are.

Both Euroworks and Exotic Illusions have excellent reputations in the kit car industry from the research that I've done. Any opinions or comments?

Euroworks does have authorized builders who could build a turnkey for you. I don't think you could go wrong with either company. Euroworks and Exotic Illusions seem to be the best sources for Countach kits.
Good luck.

That's why I answered you the way I did.

The Countach and the Diablo is different than a Cobra in that MOST people who see a Cobra instantly think it's a replica. The same doesn't hold true for the Lambo replicas. They're a different breed.

Your choice of companies is good, and Rick is correct about builders.

I like everything I've seen from Demetrios, and he's a stand up guy.

I really don't think you can go wrong with either company. If you have any questions, post them here and there are plenty of knowledgeable people here who are willing to help you out.

Your pal,
Meat.
