Olly and Other, I was passing by looking for other info when I saw your question. There is a co. in Gardenia Ca. that builds 300 SL roadsters and now Gullwings. They are a close match to the original. They use many of the reproduction parts used on the real Gullwings. The owner of the Co. is (or at the last time I cheched) Tony Austermeyer. He has been a member of the Gullwing Group( a owners group for the original Gullwings) for many years. I do not know the actual address but I do remember the shop is on Vermont Blvd. 1/2 a mile south of the 405 freeway in southern California. The power plant is a 300E and the skin is alum coated fiberglass. I hope this helps and I will check in on this sight time to time to see if you got the message!!

Tony Ostermeier's firm, who once made Gullwing Recreations, has been sold to a principal at Rolls Royce.
