!! shaddoe !! Meat !! ANYONE WHO CAN HELP !! I have for some time been trying to find out if either D&R or NAERC could make a roadster body for me in the 6.0 style. I want to know if it is possible to mold or graft the 6.0 style front clip with a roadster body while still in the mold, or even after they're molded. OR do you think they could fabricate me a pannel to put over the sides of the existing roadster front clip to make it match the 6.0 style, then I could just glass over the vents on the hood. Also I would like to know if the lower rocker pannel(the thin black pannel below the rocker on the 6.0) will fit flush with the VT roadster rocker pannel. I am guessing that the rest of the 6.0 parts; the front & rear bumpers, the mirrors, lights, interior and the 6.0 wing will fit the roadster body no problem. I want to make a 6.0 Roadster SE by SE I mean only to change the interior a lil and the rear lamborghini lettering and a lil else. I want to make it Orange actully the same orange as shaddoe's in progress roadster but to have a carbon fiber roof, louvers, wing, ect. Well anyway lets get these questions out of the way before I go on and on about WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO BUILD. |

one of the biggest problems is that the 6.0 is wider in the front than the roadster. are you looking for the complete 6.0 front or just the bumper? d&r will be doing their 6.0 like their other kits in that the front bumper is seperate from the body not like the ifg and naerc. this means that you could get the 6.0 bumper and cut it in the center to match the width of the roadster. the problem with using the complete front end of the 6.0 on the roadster really comes at the bottom of the windsheild area, this is where the problems come in that make it a really tuff job. i would imagine that rick would make the lower rockers to fit either rocker, not exactly sure about it because the rockers of the vt and roadster are not just different in the angle of the opening. i've always wanted a roadster with the 6.0 front but after working on the roadsters i want to just go with the 6.0. this is one of the things that i posted about seeing a car in person and deciding what you like and what you're not comfortable with, i really liked the body of the roadster until i had one here day after day and i find that the vt style body has a sharper look to it. i can imagine exactly what you're looking for and is very doable. i would suggest that you contact the company which you are wanting to get the kit from and see what they can work out for you.www.exoticglass1.com |
