I've seen a quasi-indy car replica in a set of pictures from one of the shows. Why quasi: it's motorcycle based and has only 3 wheels (2 in front).

If you're still interested let me know; I can probably find the link somewhere. If you're looking for the real thing - sorry i haven't seen it.

Good luck,
Filip

There used to be one. I think the company went out of business sometime between 1985 - 1990. Unfortunately, I can't remember its name but you might get a look through some old Kit Car mags in your library or from an older enthusiest (like me). The car was street worthy and looked the part (of an early eighties indy car). Good luck.

i have a kit car annual copyright dated 1980 that has a indy type kit car shown on pages 34 and 35. it is two passanger (side/side)
w/left hand shifter. it is powered by a mod. vw w/porche 5-spd. the designer was john griffiths. i don't find any addressor contact listed in article and it is not listed in the buyers guide. what is listed is an indy syle that sits on a vw bud floorpan. it is called the "crosby formula fun (1+1). the passanger sits behind the driver. the listed manufactor is crosby metal products of ontario,ca.

"keggor" got it! The Crosby Formula Fun is the one I remembered. I still think they went out of business but some one might know what happened to the molds.

You may want to check out the following sites: http://www.indycycleonline.com & http://geocities.com/MotorCity/Speedway/6755/

These two cars use motorcycle donors and are 3 wheel configuration but may provide the most bang for the buck.

Could you possibly please post a photo? Would you be willing to send me a copy of the article? Thanks.
