hey, a few friends and I have serious car fetishes, and we had the great idea to restore/build a kit car. we are still debating what to do and we do not want to get in over our heads, is there any one out there that has a good sugeestion or tip? it would be greatly appriciated.

Perhaps best way to get your feet wet in this hobby would be to contact established kit car club in your area and inquire about guest participation at their next meeting/event.
Should you need help locating kit car club, follow up with post to this topic on city/state where you live, so that I can assist with contact info. for nearest club.

I agree. Check with clubs in your area. In fact, I have a web page on my site that's got most of the clubs listed from around the world:

http://cobratrader.com/clubs.html

BTW, if your club isn't listed on that page, let me know!

Your pal,
