If most replicas are mostly crafted from fiberglass then how could a bentley Replica be so rare and illusive? I figured there would be a lot of them The Azure on Jovi is based on a Cutlass Supreme Convertible. Powerhouse. net is supposed to be a site where I could get one but it seems as if it is not a legit site. I hope someone ventures on this project.Go to Top of Page

if you notice on the Powerhouse site it says "coming soon". No where does it say I am selling it ...YET. the builder has had some major family crisis lately that resulted in his father passing away. I spoke with capo to days ago advising him I may remove the Bentley listing, unless we can move forward with more detailed information on the cars.

I will say that Capo has kept in touch with me throughout his ordeal and I am very sorry for his loss. He seems very eager to get back into the swing of things and hopefully there will be more information soon.

I am awaiting more photos of the car in it's build stages as I am not comfortable posting little to no information on the cars and trying to sell them...thus the not: coming soon.

Once I have enough information for each of the cars available I will update you.

Man it's been a couple of months and I have yet to see any updates. It's weird I would figure that there would be a lot of bentleys replicas running around everywhere

Yes it has been a long while. I am still awaiting the package of info from Capo. I spoke with him yesterday and he has assured me that he will be sending it shortlly. Hopefully within a week. If not I am dropping the offering from the Powerhouse line up.

Well I guess I was right about this. Powerhouse.net wasn't as legit as I thought. It's now September 2, 2003 and I have not seen anything new from powerhouse. net. Hmmm Does anyone know where I could find a lot of Bentley Replica's on a legit website??!?!!

As my website states... I don't make the kit nor do I manufacture it. Unfortunately, I have been waiting for Capo to email me as promised. Not to mention anyone who has ever emailed me or asked me about the kit I have been completely honest and up front about it.

I could have taken your money and ran but I would never do such a thing. Not to mention the listing has been removed from the site.

Good luck on your search, I know you have your heart set out on obtaining one but unfortunately I think you may be a little upset it never panned out. If you read through the forum you will find that I was trying to help out a gentleman by the name of Capo. And I demanded certain things from him to prove the legitimacy of his product. It never came. I have dozens of potential clients wanting the kit and I was completely honest with them all. Including a car dealership.

Sorry to disappoint you, but if I feel like the kit/replica will scam me then I am sure as heck not going to put it in front of clientele to get screwed.

I'm sure that someone out there can make this replicar dream come true. After all If the Murcielago, 360 modena spyder, 6.0, bentley contental T, and Azure could be made then it is certain that an arnage could be made.

I wanna see a bentley replica so bad. That would be too damn awsome to see one I know I would buy it in a heartbeat. I was told that the bentley moldings could be built on a modified Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Chassis.

Why not just buy the real thing? You can get an early 90's Bentley Turbo R (which has the new look) for less than $40,000.

It's a new year and time for new replica's. Has anyone seen any Bentley replicas around yet. If you know of a website that builds the please send me te link. (Not the one on that sucky site JOVI)

By the way the 360 modena may not be a legitamate sale. He blocked out the tag on it. It was posted last year asa 360 kit from Jaugari Imports. Here's the link...http://www.kitcars.com/forums/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=3

I saw a continental coupe clone/replica on ebay about 6 months ago, sold for about 25k i believe, looked pretty good. Not seen another one since, so i assume it was a movie prop or something like that. Personally i would love a replica of the continental SC, Hmmm now there's an idea , anybody want to loan me one for a weekend so i can 3d scan it??

Its pretty straight forward really, all you need is access to a 3d laser scanner (not the things that attach to your pc,but the ones that ford etc have ) and a set of data can be collected that can be imported to a Cad software program. Being located in metro detroit, there are a few specialst design firms that will perform this task, using "mobile" equipment , its not particularly cheap, but its no contact, and faster and safer than trying to cast molds of somebodys car???. I do believe there is and alternative, but i stand to be corrected on this, if you know someone who can access the route programming on the driving games that are about, a similar set of "surface data" exists for the cars in the game, which can be imported into Cad .

the last avenue is that table top optical scanners can be purchased used ( seen a couple on ebay for about $500 -$700) and these collect a set of data that can be used , but they will only be able to scan say a 1/18th model of said car , and as we know the scale models are not really that accurate, but its a good starting place.

cheers

I did some checking with an associate of mine back in the uk ( who happens to be the manager of the biggest Bentley breakers/scrap yard in europe) and a set of exterior panels, for a SC, including bumpers, in a combination of both used and new would set you back about $30,000,lights and glazing about another $ 8,000, T tops another $6,000, all we need know is a chassis/drivetrain etc and we are good to go, so a conservative estimate would be about $55k if you did a lot of the work.
Now the down side, a genuine continental, of say 93 vintage will fetch about $68,000 at auction in todays market, a couple of years depreciation (the time it would take to finish the project ) and i would say its a wash??? fake = 55, real = 55,

that aside a mans got to have a hobby!!!

In today's market there is no way you could possibly ever get a Bentley Continental SC for under $60,000. IN the US they still sell for over $100K + auction or otherwise.Go to Top of Page
