The is a replica of a 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MK. It’s the Sebring MX/5000 by Classic Roadsters, Inc. of Minnesota (the builders of the Cobra!) This is the Cobra’s first cousin!
This car was built in 1989 and has only 842 ORIGINAL MILES! These are the actual miles! One look at the car, engine and undercarriage and it is obvious. This is a gorgeous car that turns heads everywhere it goes! It was built by professional race car mechanics over a two year period. It has been driven over the years very rarely and usually only on weekends to “show it off” a little.
The engine is in great condition and the car has always been garaged. All of the original receipts are included (over $18,000 total invested, not to mention the hours of personal labor!) The builder’s manual is also included. The soft convertible top is in like new condition and the interior is near perfect as well.
The car runs strong and is very powerful! It was built on a Mustang II chassis. It has a 4.3 liter V6 Chevy Vortec engine. The car has roll up windows and the spoke wheels were custom made for THIS car. It has a new set of tires.
The car was painstakingly put together by professionals and no corners were cut. The transmission is an automatic and the car has a brand new starter. Nothing else needs replaced that I know of!
The car has been in storage for the past few years and does need a little TLC. Just basic cosmetic work, nothing mechanical that I know of. When I recently had the starter replaced, I had it completely checked out and no other mechanical problems were detected. Some minor electrical work is needed. This is probably due to being in storage.
