Star Wars Landspeeder. One of a kind
This running replica of the Star Wars Landspeeder was built by a professional movie and concept car builder. It is based on a 1988 Ford Escort donor.
This picture was made just prior to completion and the two outboard jets are now finished the same as the centre tail jet.
This is actually licensed in California and I have driven it on the Hollywood Freeway to Hollywood Boulevard (Chinese Theater) for a photo op. Of course when I registered it, there was no visual inspection by DMV so as far as "they" knew, it is an Escort. It's best to truck it to whatever location you want.
The radiator has been redone and the tranny and other drive parts checked and work well.
For a realistic look, it has not been done in a "factory fresh" style but made to reflect the idea that it has been in the desert and in use for decades. Right now there is some touch-up painting needed but otherwise it looks good. If you are into it, you can redo the interior dash to a better Landspeeder look and that should not take a lot of work if you do it yourself.
I have put on blue underlighting to give it the impression of floating, plus I have all the parts needed to put a vapor propane flame-thrower into the centre jet and had it in at one point. It threw a wicket four-foot blue flame.

This can not only be a show prize winner but a money maker. People will (and have) paid money to have it at their location as a draw for sales, grand openings, etc. One Orthopedic Surgeon in Calabasas (California) paid serious bucks to have it brought to his son's brithday party in a gated community and have the kids driven around the neighborhood in it.
My reason for selling is that at my age of 65, I have health problems which do not allow me to continue promoting and using the Landspeeder.
