The Scorpion body kit from Automotive Concept and Design captures the exotic appeal of the famous European designs.In pristine condition, the fiberglass body is finished in PPG's Black Cherry urethane base paint and the interior is tan.
Modifications include a high performance suspension kit along with front and rear urethane control arm bushings from Fiero Plus. The modification includes a set of four coil springs which lowered the Fiero's original ride height by two inches. Bilstein gas shocks are installed on the front and Bilstein struts are on the rear. A larger 1.0 inch diameter antisway bar is installed on the front and a 7/8" diameter bar is on the rear. High performance brake pads are on the front and rear calipers which are constructed of a semi-metallic compound and increase the stopping power of this 2900 lb. car.
Power is supplied by a 350 cubic inch Chevy engine custom built by Jasper Engines. Jasper rates the engine at 350 horsepower at 5500 RPM.
The engine is fitted with Dart Torquer heads having 2.02" intake and 1.6" Stellite exhaust valves and a Blue Racer Class II camshaft providing a duration of 292 degrees on both the intake and exhaust. The engine is topped off with Edelbrock valve covers and a performer RPM intake manifold along with a 650 CFM Holley double pump carberetor. Spark is provided via a Accel ignition system which is firing a 9 to 1 compression ratio. The remainder of the drive train consists of a high performance Center Force clutch and the Fiero manual five-speed transaxle. Motor Sport PS modular wheels are installed with 8"x16" on the front and 10x17" on the rear. Yokohama ZR rated tires provide outstanding traction through the 275/40ZR tires on the rear and 225/45ZR's on the front.
The car was located in antique and performance car showroom in Fort Lauderdale, where it received $2000 major service, just before it's relocated to Las Vegas. It is race track ready, but is also down town cruise "friendly" (meaning - drivable at low RPM). More pics. available at your request. Will get an award at any car show - antique or performance.
