I am selling a replica 1960 Ferr@ri 250 GT California Spyder Convertible unfinished kit. This is the car previously sold under the name Modena and CalSpyder and known best for being the object of desire in the movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” This kit was purchased by my friend in 2007 from the manufacturer “Classic car by Renucci” , my friend ask me to sell it because of professional relocation. This kit car has a solid custom multi-tube backbone steel tubular powder coated chassis, a thick hand-laid fiberglass body with hood trunk and doors installed and functional, Just the frame and the fiberglass body cost nearly 20K from the manufacturer.
Body:
The fiberglass body is painted in bright red color with clear coat finish and hand buffed to a high gloss. The powder coated chassis comes with the upper and lower front suspension arms with ball joint, it is setup to receive a ford 302 v8 and a modified ford 9” live axle. The electric Harness from “Haywire” is installed. The steering column from “Ididit”, the windshield wiper system and door handles are installed. And windshield frame has been installed and then removed to install the fiat 124 glass.
Interior and Details:
The interior is carpeted and completely upholstered with tan Leatherette; the adjustable seats are covered with tan leatherette and attached to the floor. The trunk is carpeted and fully finished with lock and handle installed. The Dash Board is covered with black Leatherette with water resistant gauges (amp, volt, water, battery and clock) installed.
