1993Lamborghini Countach Replica By Prova
1993 Lamborghini Countach 5000 / Prova Replica. This is a replica of a 1985 but the Florida title on this car reads 1993 Lamb. The Vin # is shorter than a regular OEM car vin # . This is the vin.# issued by the state of Arizona when the car was first titled in 1993. It is now registered in Florida and insured with State Farm. This car was built on an all custom tube chassis by Prova. The Prova models are very hard to find, and it is like having a real Countach. I would know, I have a real one as well, which I would also sell. This Prova drives as good and as fast as the real one. I have seen many kit cars but, none get as close to the real Countach as the Prova Model. The previous owner had this as a show car, it is very detailed. The front and rear trunks are carpeted, and are of original size and dimension. The real glass windows roll down and are electric. Both side mirrors have electric remotes. This car has all coil over and independent suspension, with aluminum under carriage shields, aluminum fender wells, dual aluminum polished fuel tanks, high output polished aluminum generator, polished aluminum A/C compressor that blows cold, dual radiators placed in the same section as on the original Countach and does not overheat. The engine is a 327 Chev. built with over 400 HP, Installed vertically, with a 930 Porsche 4 spd. trans., which first gear is about 50 MPH. The wheels are replicas and sames sizes as on the 25th anniversary Countach, with a GM wheel bolt pattern, I believe a corvette, ( NOT A FIERO ) it is not a 5 X 100. As you probably already know, The best reason to drive a replica, is that it is half of the cost, but most important you can drive it every day if you want to and don't have to worry about high maintenance. The cost for any repair is a just a fraction of the cost as to a real one, but best of all this car is much more reliable than a real one, which just to replace the clutch on a real Countach is about 10,000.00. There is over 90,000.00 invested in this car. I would love to keep it but I need to sell one of my cars. The reason for the change in the price of the car, is that I just changed the interior to a more original look, dash, seats, complete. The exhaust now has headers and inserts in the straight pipes with a cross over to give it a nicer and more even sound. There is a big difference on the way this car looks rides and sounds. Now someone taller may be able to drive this car. Yes I have seen some real countach advertised between 80 K and 99 K, but as an owner of a real one I know the easy and cheap part is buying a real Countach, the hard and expensive part is paying for maintaining it. This is why they all have little miles, not to mention the depreciation on a real Countach with over 25 K miles. This Prova Countach is just so much more reliable and inexpensive to maintain, this is why I feel, if some one wants a nice real looking Countach to drive regularly, and not just to park it in the garage and dump money in it, get a well built prova, it is worth the extra $. Owning a replica is all about detail, and when you are driving one, you want it to feel and look like you are driving a real one to the last detail, without the headaches or the super high $$ maintenance.
